Unique Cleaning Company is pleased to make its Service, as described below, available to you on the following terms and conditions.
The Terms of Service are a legal contract between the individual using the Service (“you”) and Unique Cleaning Company. (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
As referenced in this agreement, “Site” means the website operated by the Company and currently located at https://uniquecleaningcompany.ca/, as it may be updated, relocated, or otherwise modified from time to time, and includes any and all information, text, images, and other materials and content appearing on or incorporated into that website. The terms “Unique Cleaning Company” or “Service” mean the Site or any other web sites, networks, embeddable widgets, downloadable software, mobile applications including tablet computer applications (each an “App”), features, messages such as emails that we may send you, and services, whether on-line or off-line, owned or operated by the Company.
By accessing or using the services provided by Unique Cleaning Company you acknowledge and agree to the following:
- Acknowledgment of Terms: You understand that the Service is licensed to you, not sold, and by accessing or using the Service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by the Unique Cleaning Company Terms of Service (the “Terms”), which govern your use of the Service. These Terms may be updated from time to time, and continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of such updates. You may only use the Service as outlined in these Terms.
- Binding Arbitration Agreement: You acknowledge that these Terms require that any dispute between you and Unique Cleaning Company will be resolved through BINDING ARBITRATION. By agreeing to these Terms, you WAIVE YOUR RIGHT TO GO TO COURT to assert or defend any claims under this agreement (except as otherwise expressly stated in these Terms). Your rights will be determined by a NEUTRAL ARBITRATOR, not a judge or jury, and your claims cannot be brought as a class action.
- Consent to Data Use: You consent to the collection, use, sharing, and transfer of your personal data, including but not limited to location data, as described in the Unique Cleaning Company Privacy Policy which is incorporated herein by reference and may be updated from time to time.
- Third-Party Websites & Services: Our services may contain links to third-party websites or services that are not owned, operated, or controlled by Unique Cleaning Company (“Company”). The Company assumes no responsibility or liability for the content, privacy policies, practices, or services of any such third-party websites. By using our services, you acknowledge and agree that the Company shall not be held responsible, directly or indirectly, for any loss, damage, or claims arising from or in connection with the use of, or reliance on, any content, goods, or services provided by third parties. You further acknowledge that your use of our services may involve additional terms, fees, or charges imposed by third parties, including but not limited to mobile carriers or internet service providers, such as service plans, data usage fees, text messaging charges, or connectivity costs. You agree that you are solely responsible for any and all such charges.
- Service Provided “As Is”: You understand and agree that the Service is provided on an “as-is” basis without any warranty of any kind, and that Unique Cleaning Company’s liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted by law.
- Consent to Communications: You consent to receiving communications from Unique Cleaning Company from time to time, which may include emails, text messages, phone calls, or other methods, regarding services, updates, promotions, and other relevant information.
Privacy and Confidentiality
The Company is committed to protecting your personal information. We do not sell customer information to third parties and will not provide your personal data to any individual, government agency, or company, except as required by law. Your personal and billing information will be used solely for the purpose of providing the services you have engaged us to perform.
By continuing to use the Service, you agree to all of the above terms and conditions.
Cleaning Products & Equipment
Unique Cleaning Company (“Company”) provides residential and commercial cleaning services and shall provide environmentally friendly cleaning products and the majority of equipment necessary to perform cleaning services at the Client’s property. The Client is responsible for providing a toilet brush, broom and ensuring access to running water & electricity.
Should the Client request the use of specific cleaning products, such products must be made available on-site, accompanied by clear instructions. All cleaning services are performed under the assumption that surfaces, including but not limited to countertops and flooring, are properly sealed. The Client must notify the Company of any unsealed surfaces prior to service, to allow the Company to take appropriate precautions. The Company expressly disclaims the use of bleach, Javex, or any other excessively harsh chemicals, in order to ensure the health and safety of staff and clients and to minimize environmental impact.
Liability Disclaimer
The Company shall not be held responsible or liable for any damage, staining, or deterioration of surfaces that are unsealed, improperly maintained, or otherwise vulnerable to cleaning products, including client-provided products. The Client acknowledges and accepts responsibility for notifying the Company of any such surfaces prior to the provision of cleaning services.
Booking, Scheduling, Payment, and Cancellations
Appointments for services with Unique Cleaning Company may be scheduled through our office via phone, email, or our website. By scheduling a service, you acknowledge and agree to comply with the policies outlined in this section.
Cancellations & Rescheduling
- Because we reserve a specific time exclusively for your appointment, all cancellations or rescheduling requests must be communicated to our office no later than 48 hours in advance of the scheduled cleaning.
- To avoid a 50% cancellation fee, cancellations must be made by 5:00 PM on the day prior to your appointment.
- Same-day cancellations, “lock-outs” (staff unable to access the property), or no-shows will result in full payment of the scheduled service.
- We understand that unexpected situations can occur. If you, someone in your household, or an immediate family member is sick, or in the case of an emergency, last-minute cancellations will be considered on a case-by-case basis. This flexibility is intended for genuine circumstances and may not be abused.
- Clients are responsible for ensuring that the property has electricity and running water on the day of service. If services cannot be completed due to lack of utilities or other last-minute issues, cancellation fees may still apply.
Payment
- All residential cleaning services must be paid in full on the day of service, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
- Payment is due immediately after service has been completed, with electronic invoices provided for your records.
- For commercial cleaning services, payment terms will be outlined in the applicable service contract.
- A $50 NSF fee will be applied to any dishonored or returned payments.
Pricing Adjustments & Scheduling
- Prices for recurring services are based on the agreed frequency and duration of your appointments.
- Rescheduling or modifying an appointment may result in your service cost being higher, lower, or the same depending on circumstances.
- Frequent cancellations or last-minute changes may result in the loss of your preferred time slot or cleaning team.
- Clients acknowledge that professional cleaners are compensated based on their scheduled assignments, and last-minute changes directly impact their expected income.
Policy Acknowledgment
By scheduling a service with Unique Cleaning Company, you acknowledge that these booking, payment, and cancellation policies are binding and enforceable. Repeated violations may result in the suspension or refusal of service.
Extra Services
Clients requesting additional services or extended cleaning on a scheduled appointment must notify Unique Cleaning Company at least 48 hours in advance. This allows the Company to allocate the necessary time and resources to complete the requested work efficiently. Upon notification, Unique Cleaning Company will provide a quote for any additional services, which must be agreed to by the client prior to the start of service. Clients acknowledge that any additional work performed without prior notification or agreement may be subject to scheduling or pricing adjustments at the Company’s discretion.
Staffing & Team Consistency
Unique Cleaning Company assigns cleaning teams of one or two staff members based on the size and requirements of each job. Each home or facility is designated a team leader to maintain consistency and quality of service. While Unique Cleaning Company tries to maintain the same team leader and cleaning staff for recurring services, this cannot be guaranteed due to factors including, but not limited to, illness, vacation, staff turnover, or promotions. Clients acknowledge that changes to the assigned team or individual team members may occur, and agree that such changes do not constitute a breach of service or contract.
Trash Disposal
During the cleaning service, Unique Cleaning Company staff will collect garbage from all rooms and place it into appropriate bags. Clients are responsible for ensuring that all collected trash remains on the premises and for its proper disposal. Staff will not remove trash from the property.
Referrals Receive Bonuses and Discounts when you refer us! We love referrals and appreciate it when you tell friends and neighbors about our service. Thank you for your confidence in us!
Satisfaction Guarantee Unique Cleaning Company is committed to providing the highest quality cleaning services. If you are not completely satisfied with the cleaning of any serviced areas of your home or office, you must notify our main office within 24 hours of the service. Upon receiving such notification, Unique Cleaning Company will send a cleaner to address any areas that did not meet your expectations, within two business days of the original scheduled service, at no additional charge.
While we will make every effort to address your concerns, Unique Cleaning Company cannot guarantee the removal of mold, mildew, grime, soap scum, or pet odors, and is not responsible for the restoration or rejuvenation of caulking, grout, molding, or carpeting. Refunds are not guaranteed and are granted only at the discretion of Unique Cleaning Company’s Customer Service team, regardless of service termination or other disruptions.
Quality Control: Unique Cleaning Company maintains a quality control system that includes email requests for feedback after each visit. This system is interactive and depends on your feedback and communication to function effectively. We value your input regarding the overall experience and quality of our services, and we will correct or address any issues brought to our attention in a timely and professional manner. Health, Safety, and Service Limitations
Cleaner Safety: Unique Cleaning Company prioritizes the health and safety of its employees. We reserve the right to remove staff from any property if the environment is deemed unsafe or presents health risks, including but not limited to viral contamination, mold, bacteria, or pest infestations. In such cases, our standard cancellation policy will apply. Clients are requested to allow our staff to work without interference; household or office members should not follow or disrupt staff while services are being performed. If you are unsure about any potential hazards, please contact our office prior to the scheduled service. All employees are covered under workers’ compensation, liability insurance, and bonding. During winter months, clients are responsible for ensuring sidewalks and walkways are clear of ice to prevent slip-and-fall injuries.
Sanitary Limitations: Our staff are instructed not to touch or clean any areas or items they deem unsafe or unsanitary. For health and safety reasons, cleaning of human or animal waste, urine, vomit, blood, or other bodily fluids is strictly prohibited.
Lifting, Climbing, and Bending: To prevent injury, employees do not climb higher than a 3-foot, 2-step ladder, lift items weighing more than 20 pounds, or clean floors on hands and knees except in bathrooms. Clients requesting the movement of furniture or large items assume responsibility for any damage resulting from age, wear, or structural issues. Staff will not move furniture containing electronics or appliances not on wheels. If clients pre-move such items, staff may clean exposed areas but expect items to be returned to their original location.
Service Limitations: Unique Cleaning Company does not provide the following services:
- Cleaning or removal of blood, bodily fluids, fire or water damage, or mold
- Cleaning interior surfaces of curio cabinets (exterior dusting only)
- Pet or child care services, including emptying diaper pails
- Cleaning chandeliers, exterior windows, or walls beyond spot cleaning
- Stain removal, rust removal, paint removal, or servicing outdoor areas
- Cleaning areas above the reach of our 3-foot step ladder
- Cleaning animal waste or litter
- Moving or lifting items over 20 pounds
- Making beds, washing dishes, or doing laundry
Pest Infestations: We reserve the right to refuse service for properties with any insect or pest infestation, including seasonal infestations. In such cases, staff will leave the property immediately, and the cancellation fee will apply.
Access to Property & Security
To provide cleaning services, Unique Cleaning Company requires safe and secure access to your property. Access can be arranged by:
- Being present at the scheduled service time
- Providing a key to our staff
- Leaving a lockbox on the premises
- Supplying a garage or door access code
The security of your home or business is of the utmost importance. All Unique Cleaning Company employees are bonded and insured. Clients acknowledge that failure to provide access for scheduled services will result in a lock-out fee, which will be charged in accordance with our cancellation and payment policies.
Post-Cleaner Arrival: To ensure the highest quality and efficiency of service, clients are required to prepare their property prior to the scheduled cleaning appointment. By scheduling services, you acknowledge and agree to the following:
- Getting Ready for the Cleaning: Clients should not perform cleaning themselves prior to our arrival, but are requested to clear floors, countertops, and other surfaces of small items such as clothing, toys, pens, coins, and important documents. Countertop appliances and small pieces of furniture do not need to be removed, as our staff will move these items as necessary during service. Proper preparation allows our team to focus on detailed work and maintain the highest standard of cleaning.
- Work Environment: The ideal cleaning scenario occurs when the property is unoccupied. If this is not possible, clients are responsible for minimizing distractions during service. Pets must be secured, and children should be kept in a safe area away from our staff, as cleaning equipment and products may pose a risk to unsupervised individuals.
By using Unique Cleaning Company services, clients acknowledge that these preparation requirements are binding and enforceable, and agree that failure to provide a safe and suitable working environment may limit the scope of services provided.
Damages & Liability
Unique Cleaning Company trains all staff to exercise the utmost care when handling client property. However, accidental damage or breakage may occur. If you believe an item was damaged by one of our cleaning professionals, you must report the damage to Unique Cleaning Company within 24 hours of the service completion to allow proper investigation.
If an item is damaged during service, our team will notify you immediately. In such cases, Unique Cleaning Company reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to repair the item, replace the item, or compensate based on verifiable market value.
We are not responsible for damage resulting from pre-existing conditions, improper installation, wear and tear, or unsecured items. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Hanging pictures or mirrors that were improperly mounted
- Items leaning or propped against surfaces
- Fixtures, hardware, or furniture that were not fully secured
Glass Shower Doors, Toilets & Faucets
Clients are responsible for notifying Unique Cleaning Company if glass shower doors, toilets, faucets, or other fixtures are not 100% secure. If our staff identifies any potential risk, you will be informed immediately. At that point, you may:
- Decline service for that item, or authorize service at your own risk
By authorizing service after being notified of potential risks, you agree not to hold Unique Cleaning Company or its employees liable for any resulting damage. We are not responsible for damage caused by faulty or improper installation of any fixture or appliance, including but not limited to water damage from leaking or overflowing toilets, faucets, or refrigerator water dispensers.
High-Value and Fragile Items
Unique Cleaning Company does not clean inside curios, china cabinets, wet bar shelves, or chandeliers. Clients are strongly encouraged to remove or secure fragile, high-value, or irreplaceable items, including but not limited to collectibles, heirlooms, glassware, and expensive figurines, prior to service. We will not be responsible for damage to unsecured valuables, currency, credit cards, or checkbooks.
Insurance Coverage & Fraud
At Unique Cleaning Company, your peace of mind comes first. We are fully insured, bonded, and WSIB-registered in Ontario, ensuring both our clients and our staff are always protected. From residential to commercial projects, our liability coverage means you can trust us to deliver quality service safely and responsibly.
Service Limitations & Safety Restrictions
To protect the safety of our staff and your property, the following restrictions apply:
- Our team will not climb higher than a two-step ladder
- We do not move furniture weighing more than 15 lbs or containing electronics
- We do not disassemble furniture, light fixtures, shower door seals, or appliances (except removable oven racks and refrigerator shelves). We do not perform the following services:
- Carpet steam cleaning
- Full wall washing (spot cleaning only)
- Hand-scrubbing entire floors
- Dishwashing, laundry, or bed-making
Removing permanent stains from furniture, flooring, cabinets, or carpets
Hazardous Conditions
We are not an extermination, restoration, or biohazard remediation company. Service will be refused or immediately terminated if the property presents any hazardous conditions, including but not limited to:
- Pest infestation (cockroaches, bedbugs, fleas, etc.)
- Animal infestation (birds, mice, rats, bats, etc.)
- Excessive or uncontrolled mold growth
- Human or animal waste, blood, or bodily fluids
- Hoarding conditions
- Any other unsafe or unsanitary conditions
If service is refused or terminated for these reasons, the lock-out fee of 50% of the scheduled cleaning cost will apply.
Pet Policy
Unique Cleaning Company values the safety and well-being of all pets. While we strive to provide a positive experience for pets and clients alike, the responsibility for the control and care of all animals on the premises rests solely with the client. By scheduling services, you acknowledge and agree to the following terms regarding pets:
- Clients must inform Unique Cleaning Company in advance of any arrangements for pets while cleaning services are being performed.
- For sanitary and safety reasons, our staff will not clean up after sick pets or pet accidents.
- Clients are responsible for securing any pets that may be overwhelmed, pose a threat, or are likely to escape during the service.
- Unique Cleaning Company staff cannot be held liable for the escape, injury, or safety of pets.
By using our services, clients agree that this Pets Policy is binding and enforceable, and that all precautions regarding the safety and containment of pets are the client’s responsibility.
Employee Training & Non-Solicitation
All employees of Unique Cleaning Company undergo rigorous training to ensure full compliance with the company’s high standards. This training covers all aspects of cleaning procedures, client service expectations, and safety protocols. For client protection and peace of mind, all employees are subject to background checks and reference verifications during the hiring process.
Non-Solicitation of Employees:
During the term of service and for a period of twelve (12) months following termination of the service agreement, clients shall not directly or indirectly solicit, hire, or engage any Unique Cleaning Company employee for employment or independent contracting. Any violation of this non-solicitation policy will result in a $2,500 Recruitment and Training Fee, payable immediately upon demand.
Employees of Unique Cleaning Company are also bound by a Non-Solicitation Agreement, which prohibits them from soliciting or accepting business from current or former clients during their employment and for 12 months after termination. Clients are encouraged to report any attempts by employees to perform services privately or through another company.
By scheduling services with Unique Cleaning Company, clients acknowledge and agree that this Employee Training and Non-Solicitation policy is binding and enforceable.

- Sunday: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Operating Hours:
- Residential Cleaning: Monday – Friday | 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM
- Commercial Cleaning: Available 24 hours, 7 days a week
Clients may leave voicemails or emails after hours or on weekends, and a representative will respond on the next business day.
Holidays: Unique Cleaning Company’s office will be closed on the following holidays:
- New Year’s Day
- Family Day
- Good Friday
- Victoria Day
- Canada Day
- Labour Day
- Thanksgiving Day
- Christmas Day
- Boxing Day
Holiday Scheduling Notice: Clients acknowledge that if a scheduled cleaning falls on one of the holidays listed above, Unique Cleaning Company will reach out to our customer prior to any schedule. Clients agree that such schedule adjustments are binding and enforceable under the terms of service.
Privacy Policy
Unique Cleaning Company is committed to protecting the privacy and confidentiality of all client information. By using our services, you agree to the collection, use, and disclosure of your information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
- Information Collection: We collect personal information necessary to provide cleaning services, including your name, address, email, phone number, payment details, and any specific service instructions. Notes on pets, health, or access may also be collected to ensure safety and efficiency.
- Use of Information: Information is used solely to provide services, process payments, communicate scheduling, and maintain quality control.
- Disclosure of Information: We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. Third-party disclosure occurs only to perform services or as required by law.
- Data Security: Industry-standard measures protect information from unauthorized access. Access is limited to authorized personnel.
- Third-Party Services: Links to third-party websites are provided for convenience. We are not responsible for their privacy practices or content.
- Retention: Information is retained only as long as necessary to provide services, comply with legal obligations, and enforce agreements.
- Client Consent: By using our services, you consent to the collection, use, and disclosure of information as described. Withdrawal of consent may limit service provision.
- Policy Updates: We may modify this Privacy Policy at any time. Continued use constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
